Bratislava gets a taste of international poetry.

The international poetry festival Ars Poetica will host poetry readings and other performances at various sites in the city.Not only music, dance and art can cross borders and connect people from different milieus.

Poetry festivals, like Ars Poetica, also attract many people, offering a blend of works by authors from across the globe.The festival, which takes place between November 13 and 23 (with the core programme condensed between November 15-17) at various sites in Bratislava, will host poets and performing artists from Slovakia, its neighbouring countries, and also from the United Kingdom and Israel.

What is on offer in EnglishArs Poetica will welcome British poet Camilla Nelson on November 15. The poet, artist and researcher will perform and exhibit her text-work. She created the Poem Factory (A Performance Installation) and co-founded the Grass Routes collective.

"Her work explores the materiality of language in page-based poetry, soundwork, installation and performance," describes her website.The taste of her poetic world can be explored at 19:00 at the V Klub in SNP Square 12.In addition, visitors can enjoy the works of Luc Beacutenazet (FR), Kathrin Schmidt (DE), Alexandru Potcoav#259 (RO), Risto Ahti (FI) and Kinga Toacuteth (HU).

The guest of honour will be Noam Partom (IL) with Spoken Word Solo. The evening will be rounded up by a concert of Kieslowski (CZ) at 21:00 and an open end party for everyone at 22:00.Concert of sound poetryThe venue will move to Cafeacute Berlinka SNG (in #317.
